South Buffalo Art & Antique Festival will feature Roycrofters
The South Buffalo Art & Antique Festival is being planned for the weekend of September 16 and 17, 2006, from 11:00-5:00pm. at the historic Lodge Auction House.
The Lodge is located at 212 Cazenovia near the intersection of Seneca Street.
Partners in planning the event are New York State Assemblyman Mark J.F. Schroeder, The Roycrofters, The Lodge Auction House, and The Greater South Buffalo Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors include Assemblyman Mark Schroeder, Mercy Hospital, HSBC, Bank of America, Chick-n-Pizza Works, and Honeywell.
This year’s show will include the work of Roycrofters, artisans acknowledged worldwide for their extraordinary craftsmanship. The Roycroft Campus is in East Aurora and was founded by the writer and philosopher Elbert Hubbard.
“We’ll have an eclectic mix of fine art, photography, jewelry, pottery, glass and metal works, as well as antiques and unique gifts,” said Lisa Eoannou, one of the proprietors of The Lodge Auction House, which hosted the inaugural art show last fall.
The South Buffalo Art & Antique Festival committee invites artists of all mediums to participate in this year’s event, which will also include live entertainment and refreshments.
The Lodge Auction House is fast becoming Buffalo’s premier antique and collectables auction gallery, and also features three banquet rooms.
